Florence Haestier

I am Florence Esmieu Haestier, and I currently live in the Greater Paris area in France. I love to travel, and I have lived in France, Belgium, Italy, and the UK, and I have frequently visited India.

Mark William’s book: Finding Peace in a Frantic World, is how I discovered mindfulness in 2008, in the UK, when I was studying political science and social sciences. I hold a degree in European Studies with Italian (BA) from Royal Holloway, University of London, an MSc from the London School of Economics in European affairs, and another master’s degree from the Université Paris Dauphine specialised in the social aspects of Sustainable Development.

I have completed different missions on diversity and disability in the workplace in the non-profit and corporate sectors in Paris. In 2021 after the lockdowns due to Covid 19, it was time to train in mindfulness and I set about my project in this field. In May 2023 I completed the 12 months of teacher training for MBCT-L with the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation. Along with my work in mindfulness, I teach individual lessons for adults and young learners, with different French education agencies

I wish to teach mindfulness in the workplace to help employees improve their mental health, resilience, and well-being sustainably. I am very happy to volunteer with the Tuesday Lunchtime Drop-in Sessions, to continue practicing as a teacher, and to support this online community.”
